The QuitJuice Story

My name is Jeremy Williams. I’m the founder of QuitJuice.com. I was a long time smoker. One day my wife dropped in my hand a stack of papers with all kinds of facts about the harms of smoking. I thought, “Nice try, like I’m really going to read that.”  In spite of myself, I did start reading and was taken aback by what I saw.  The things I was learning, some I knew, some were new to me. I thought about how powerful the information is. I thought “Maybe I’d quit if I made it through reading all this.”  The reality is I didn’t finish reading. I could only stand a page then dropped the papers and lost them somewhere. 

What I learned about myself is that I have a small capacity to digest scientific facts about effects of smoking. I need to know these facts to arm my mind against the urge to light up. I however, will forget what I read, and wont read it again. And I definitely wont discipline myself to go read it often enough to keep it fresh in my mind.

In late 2010 I started thinking about quitting again and remembered my experience with the smoking facts. I realized that I needed to revisit that information but I couldn’t find the stack of paper. What I really needed was bite sized chunks of encouraging facts and tips to build up my motivation and will power to throw away my pack of cigarettes and commit to quit. I needed these “bites” fed to me daily until I could do it. That’s why I’ve been developing QuitJuice. For myself, and anyone else who is in the same boat.

If you or your loved one is anything like me when it comes to smoking, they need QuitJuice. People get busy and consumed with life, but every morning, or at the time you choose, QuitJuice will send you facts and tips to give you the will power you need to kick the habit and stay smoke free.
